Brad and Moira Roberts
Brad and Moira Roberts,
(Silver Executive Directors)
When I first saw PPL, I joined as a member only. Thanks to Mills and Mills, our Ontario provider law firm’s advice through my divorce, my two daughters live with me today. Thank you to Mr. & Mrs. Stonecipher and to the couple who sold us our membership – it has changed my life – and theirs! I’ll never be without it! Perhaps that’s the best testimony: being a satisfied member of PPL for five years before I ever joined the business.
When we looked at the opportunity, I was a single dad with my girls half the time, I was commuting to a full-time job as a TV producer, and running two franchise businesses. My fiancé Moira was a single mom, with a background in corporate banking, who ran her own home daycare some 12 hours a day. We had no time for anything more. However, we signed up as Associates when the Identity Theft Shield came to Canada, we used the system, and went Director in 60 days! Then we couldn’t get anything to work for the next seven months – even though we never missed the weekly briefing.
There’s so many people to thank for helping us achieve success: Mr. Jim Rohn, Mr. Jeff Olson, my parents who said “just keep going” and babysat for every convention. Mr. Cleve Pickens who taught us ‘The Wheel’, The MacKenzie’s and Mr. Mike Melia for their friendship and hours of coaching, Kim and Steve and the entire Melia family for the culture of support and friendship, and for every speaker who promoted Players Club. We made a decision in Vegas ’06 to be in Players Club no matter what. It’s the key to this business!
Consistent recruiting one or two new Associates per month, building strong relationships through our team events, and encouraging others to do the same, resulted in our success. Our huge ‘why’ is our three girls. We offer to help others with the membership, grow and nurture the friendships, promote this incredible opportunity and what it’s done for us and for our family, and work closely with those who share our vision and our passion. Today, Moira’s daycare and my businesses are closed, the commute is gone, we take our kids to school, and as a happily married couple we work together from home. The monthly Players Club cheque pays for our two vehicles, and we earn twice as much money from PPL as I do at my full time job. This business has allowed us to do what we want to and have an incredible lifestyle with our kids that is only going to get better and better.
The biggest ‘Thank You’ goes to our TEAM! We are merely representing them. And no one will cheer louder, or be prouder, when they achieve the same success in 2010!
