Bob & Vickie Levy & Matt Massaro

(100K Ring Earners)

Bob Levy has always had an instinct for recognizing coming trends. In 1969, when he was a clothing salesman, he sensed a major trend about to occur in the fashion industry and opened the first store in the south that sold bell-bottoms — The Merry Go Round — in Atlanta, Georgia. Within two years, that one store grew to a chain of seventeen and eventually 1400 stores, nationwide!

“The best part of that period,” Bob says, “was meeting Vickie, my beautiful wife and soul mate.” Together, the two continued to pioneer another very successful industry – Commercial Interior Landscaping and very quickly established themselves among Atlanta’s most prestigious businesses. Riding the wave of the relocation movement into Atlanta in the 80’s, they entered the publishing arena by creating Georgia’s first relocation magazine and directory, Target Atlanta and shortly before the state of Georgia was awarded the Olympics, landed the contract to publish the State Tourism Guide, Georgia on My Mind.

In the fall of 1998, after selling their last business and a brief flirtation with retirement, Bob and Vickie were introduced to Pre-Paid Legal Services. Bob says, “I realized right away that the membership is something that could have me thousands of dollars, throughout my business career. I could also see that Pre-Paid Legal was creating a paradigm shift in the legal system and I wanted to be a part of it.”

After being recognized as one of the company’s top group sales people, Bob was appointed PPLVP of Group Marketing for the State of Georgia, in 2001. “My goal as an instructor is to have the most successful graduates in the country and for Georgia to be Number 1 in Group Sales!” Bob and Vickie are also Area Coordinators for the NE Georgia area.

Prior to getting involved with Pre-Paid Legal, Vickie had taken a corporate job, which she was able to leave in October of 2003, to join Bob full time in the business. They achieved the level of Silver Executive Director by November and in March 2005 became $100,000 ring earners.

Vickie and Bob are dedicated to Group Marketing, and to their wonderful TEAM. Vickie says, “It’s an honor, a privilege and a joy to see people’s eyes light up, when they realize that this is a company that can support their dreams, often unlike their previous job. We just want to help people dream big again. We are where we are because of their consistent efforts and we want to say “Thank You”, to each and every one.”

Bob and Vickie are especially grateful to team leader, Glenda Boling, because on April 1st, 2001, she handed Bob a book called The Prayer of Jabez. As a result, they named their team “The Jabez Alliance”. “Ever since that day,” Bob says, “I have consistently prayed The Prayer of Jabez every morning. It has changed my life and the pace of my business.” When Mr. Stoneceipher shared the prayer with the entire company at our National Convention, Bob and Vickie were thrilled. “The Prayer of Jabez is a perfect prayer for this business!” they said.

“We are also grateful to our Platinum 5 ED’s, Mike, Kim and Steve Melia. We made the decision to go with Pre-Paid Legal, at the same time as them,” says Bob” “and we could not have had better leadership, or friends, than the Melias have been to us and our team.

We also want to give special credit to Jeff Olson, whose leadership and “Slight Edge Philosophy” we have followed for 81/2 years. We are delighted that Jeff recently published a book about it, titled “The Slight Edge”. We have been reading it with our 13 year old Grandson, Matthew. Jeff’s philosophy will have untold positive effects on the many families of Pre-Paid Legal for generations to come.”

Bob and Vickie’s “WHY” is their grandson, Matthew (see photo). “The character he has developed, as a result of being exposed to the personal development in the PPL culture has been phenomenal,” they say. “And the time we have been able to spend with Matthew, because of our successful Pre-Paid Legal business, has been priceless.”
